  Nantes wines
APPELLATION : AOC MUSCADET SÈVRE ET MAINE SUR LIE

VARIETY : Melon de Bourgogne

REGION :
Southeast of Nantes around the two rivers: Sevre Nantaise and Petite Maine. Commune of Landreau, a soil region where the grape often reaches its maturity early.

WINEMAKING PROCESS :
Old vines with very limited yields. Separate winemaking for parcels at controlled temperatures. Bottled on the estate in the spring. Until bottling, the wines are kept on their fine lees to preserve all the freshness, fineness and characteristic aromas of the Estate (apple, white flowers, almond).

COMMENTS : This grand white wine should be served chilled (7°C - 8°C / 44°F - 46°F). It goes very well with seafood and cooked fish dishes (white butter sauce, etc.). When aged, this grand Muscadet will develop very fine complex and rich secondary aromas during its years in the cellar.

APPELLATION : AOC MUSCADET SÈVRE ET MAINE SUR LIE

VARIETY : Melon de Bourgogne

REGION :
Southeast of Nantes around the two rivers, Sèvre Nantaise and Petite Maine

WINEMAKING PROCESS :
Selection and separate winemaking according to the soil regions. The best grape clusters are subject to skin contact maceration in order to extract the most aroma. Settling of the juice and fermentation in automatic thermo-regulated tanks. During ageing, the wine is kept on its fine lees which gives the wine structure and body.

COMMENTS : This is the Muscadet appellation par excellence. The soils make a fruity wine that often brings apples to mind. The light effervescence, apparent in the mouth, shows that the wine was aged on lees following the rules of the art. This wine accompanies oysters, shrimp; seafood and fish. Always serve chilled (between 7-8°C/44-46°F). This wine is also very good as an aperitif.
